Young Families Class: Teach Your Children Well: A Step-by-Step Guide for Family Discipleship

Half of Christian high school students walk away from their faith after graduation. But parental involvement is the most influential predictor of a child’s spirituality throughout their lives. So how do we parent our kids in ways that lead to lasting faith?

We will unpack how parents can play an active discipleship role in forming their children’s faith, with insights and strategies for different developmental ages. Johnson helps us to identify God moments, facilitate spiritual encounters, clarify emerging beliefs and encourage new faith habits in our kids.

General Adult Class: The Rhythms of Sabbath & Solitude

This semester, we will be digging deeper into the first two rhythms we are engaging in together as a church in alignment with RRCOC’s vision to be Spirit-filled & Spirit-led followers of Jesus for those who don’t have a home yet.

To start, we will dive into the practice of sabbath which is a way of reordering our lives around God’s invitation to regular rhythms of work, rest and replenishment.

And then, we will explore the why and how of spending time in the quiet with God through the multi-layered practice of solitude.
