All classes meet on Sundays at 10:00 am.

(Got kids? Bring 'em. We have classes at the same time for them as well.)

General Adult Class: I Once Was Lost…(Evangelism/Alpha-Related Class)

How do people come to Jesus in today's postmodern culture? Not by a mechanical, linear process of cookie cutter conversions. Nor by a nebulous spiritual wandering that never culminates in decision and commitment. Postmodern evangelism is a mysterious and organic process that nevertheless goes through discernible phases, as people cross thresholds from distrust to trust, from complacency to curiosity and from meandering to seeking. Everts and Schaupp describe the factors that influence how people shift in their perspectives and become open to the Gospel. They provide practical tools to help people enter the kingdom, as well as guidelines for how new believers can live out their Christian faith.

General Adult Class: The Acts of Paul (Biblical/Textual Studies)

Saul of Tarsus encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus and that encounter changed him from one of the most active persecutors of Jesus-followers into one of the greatest influences on Christianity – influence that continues today. Join this class as we look at lessons from Paul’s life as recorded in the book of Acts.

General Adult Class: The Common Rule (Spiritual Formation/Rhythms)

Habits form us more than we form them. The modern world is a machine of a thousand invisible habits, forming us into anxious, busy, and depressed people. We yearn for the freedom and peace of the gospel, but remain addicted to our technology, shackled by our screens, and exhausted by our routines. But because our habits are the water we swim in, they are almost invisible to us. What can we do about it?

The answer to our contemporary chaos is to practice a rule of life that aligns our habits to our beliefs. The Common Rule offers four daily and four weekly habits, designed to help us create new routines and transform frazzled days into lives of love for God and neighbor. Justin Earley provides concrete, doable practices, such as a daily hour of phoneless presence or a weekly conversation with a friend.

These habits are “common” not only because they are ordinary, but also because they can be practiced in community. They have been lived out by people across all walks of life―businesspeople, professionals, parents, students, retirees―who have discovered new hope and purpose. As you embark on these life-giving practices, you will find the freedom and rest for your soul that comes from aligning belief in Jesus with the practices of Jesus.

It's a practical and study-focused version of John that invites readers into a deeper reflection incorporating the church's ancient practices of Lectio Divina & Visio Divina.
